Today, I was reminded of the fact that I am called to reach out to those who feel alone; those who many people look down upon and avoid.  Jesus not only refused to look down on the pariahs within a society, but He actively pursued them in order to have a relationship with them.  There is absolutely no reason for those who follow Christ to ignore those who our world does not favor.  No one should be forgotten.  No one should be mistreated.  Jesus, being perfect, did not condemn someone in the midst of their own sin.  As someone who sins, what right could I have to condemn someone who sins? No matter what someone has done, it does not give anyone the right to deal unfairly in return.  While there is safety through imprisonment of those who step outside of the law, we are still to treat all humans in the way that we wish to be treated.
"Remember the prisoners as if chained with them - those who are mistreated - for you yourselves are in the body also." -- Hebrews 13:3
